It has been just over a month since we introduced our app concept and stereoscope at the 2013 COVD Annual Meeting. The g-labs team had a blast and we are very grateful for the enthusiasm and support the COVD crowd showed us.
Work is proceeding rapidly on the completing and testing of our first release. Those who sign up for our mailing list, can soon expect an email with the exact list of exercises and expected app availability on the Apple app store (along with a special pre-release discount offer if you signed up before January 1, 2014).
Since the COVD 2013 Annual Meeting, the new iPad Air has been released and we want to confirm that our stereoscope and stand will be accommodating both the iPad air as well as older full-size Retina display iPads. The standard stereoscope will be made available for purchase at the same time as our app launch.
In further stereoscope news we have a children's and a larger adult version in the works to accommodate situations where the standard 60mm inter-pupillary distance version we exhibited is not exact enough.
We have been honoured with a spot in the top 10 finalists in The Mobileys. This competition recognizes new mobile apps, products, and services that make the world a better place. Winners will be announced soon so please visit The Mobileys site to watch our video and cast your vote for the People's Choice award. Thank you for your support!
Looking forward, 2014 is going to be a busy year for the team at g-labs. We hope it will be an exciting and satisfying one for our doctors, therapists and their patients as well. We are very much looking forward to your feedback as we work to make the most comprehensive, effective, and fun set of Vision Therapy tools ever for the iPad.
Our best regards,
The G-Labs Team
